World's largest clean energy corridor keeps Spring Festival warm and bright

Date: 2025-02-10

During the 2025 Spring Festival holiday from January 28 to February 4, amid a cold wave and rising electricity demand, the world's largest clean energy corridor generated approximately 4 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power the daily needs of about 1.37 billion people. The average daily output stood at 500 million kWh.

Spanning 1,800 kilometers along the Yangtze River, the clean energy corridor is composed of six cascade hydropower stations operated by CTG: Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, the Three Gorges, and Gezhouba.
