CTG's Hubei Energy Group celebrates 20th anniversary

CTG's subsidiary Hubei Energy Group is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a record-breaking achievement.
In 2024, the group generated 44.1 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 23.21 percent, marking a new milestone in its development.
As a key energy enterprise in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the company has built a diversified energy portfolio.
Key milestones of the group include:
Hydropower: The group operates three major cascade hydropower stations—Shuibuya, Geheyan, and Gaobazhou—along the Qingjiang River, with a combined installed capacity of 3,322 megawatts (MW).
Thermal Power: The Ezhou Power Plant, situated in the power load center of Hubei Province, has a total installed capacity of 3,960 MW, ensuring a stable power supply.
Renewable energy: Hubei Energy Group has made key breakthroughs in solar, wind, and other renewable energy sectors. By the end of 2024, its new energy installed capacity exceeded 7,000 MW, accounting for 38.3 percent of the group's total installed capacity.
