Luz del Sur successfully completes Peru's first live-line water cleaning operation on medium-voltage distribution grid using drone

Luz del Sur, a second-tier subsidiary of CTG, recently completed the first live-line water cleaning operation on a medium-voltage distribution grid using a drone in Peru.

During the cleaning process, a hexacopter drone took off, releasing a jet of high-pressure water from the nozzle mounted beneath it.

CTG has been actively promoting technical exchanges with Luz del Sur. In 2024, Luz del Sur's first batch of technicians completed training and certification, achieving Peru's first live-line water cleaning operation on 220kV transmission equipment.
