Soft pink petals drift like clouds, blending with the rippling emerald waters of the reservoir to paint a serene spring scene.

At the foot of the Three Gorges Dam, the Yangtze River converges into a vast expanse of jade-green water. The Three Gorges ship locks, functioning as a bidirectional water elevator, has enabled 1.065 million vessel transits between the reservoir's upper and lower reaches since 2003.

Today, ecological shields on both sides of the reservoir have woven into a seamless chain of green. Floating buoys monitor the river’s health in real time, and for six consecutive years, 100 percent of the Yangtze’s main and tributary waters in the region have maintained excellent quality.

As the spring tide surges, nature and technology together safeguard the clarity and vitality of this mother river.
