CTG Brasil starts annual regulation at Salto Grande plant
Date: 2025-04-23
CTG Brasil has begun annual regulation at the Salto Grande plant, lowering the reservoir to 382.50–382.80 meters, below the usual 383.80–384.67 meters.
“This helps ensure full operation, control aquatic plants, and maintain the reservoir for community use,” said Alexander Ribeiro Daquila, the O&M Manager at CTG Brasil.
As the water level decreases, the reservoir's flow becomes smoother and oxygen levels rise, creating favorable conditions for fish reproduction and supporting the restoration of the aquatic ecosystem—further enhancing the reservoir’s multifunctional use.
