CTG builds a 180 MW offshore solar plant in high-wind tidal zone in SE China's Fujian
Date: 2025-06-23
On Dongshan Island in southeast China's Fujian Province, a gleaming "solar forest" now stretches across the tidal flats. Built by CTG, this 180 MW offshore solar power project features over 440,000 solar panels and generates an average of 300 million kWh of electricity annually—equivalent to saving 90,200 tonnes of standard coal each year.
Located in a coastal area prone to frequent typhoons and severe salt corrosion, the project faced extreme environmental challenges. The CTG team rose to the occasion by introducing a "multi-pile plus diagonal bracing" structure, combined with anti-corrosion materials, greatly enhancing the plant's stability and durability.
Transforming once-barren tidal flats into a green oasis, the project showcases the synergy between advanced technology and sustainable development, illuminating a new chapter in Fujian's clean energy journey.
