In the first half of 2025, the Three Gorges project maintained sound operation.

The reservoir received a total inflow of 133.5 billion cubic meters. Three coordinated water replenishment operations were carried out, effectively meeting domestic and irrigation needs in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

The Three Gorges ship locks operated safely for 5,206 lockages, facilitating 19,125 vessel transits and transporting 81.4 million tonnes of cargo.

The ship lift completed 1,790 operations, carrying 280,000 passengers.

Five ecological regulation and sediment-flushing operations were conducted, removing 1.95 million cubic meters of silt from the upper reservoir, reinforcing long-term reservoir sustainability.
