CTG's Qingjiang cascade hydropower stations achieve significant green energy milestone
Date: 2025-08-19
As of the end of July 2025, CTG’s Qingjiang cascade hydropower stations, located on a major tributary of the Yangtze River, have delivered a cumulative 166.9 billion kWh of green electricity.
This is equivalent to saving around 51 million tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 130 million tonnes.
Comprising three large-scale hydropower stations—Shuibuya, Geheyan, and Gaobazhou—the Qingjiang cascade hydropower stations have a total installed capacity of 3.322 million kW.
Since the start of this year's flood season, the stations have stepped up flood control patrols to ensure the safe and stable operation of their units, providing clean energy to millions of households.
