Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant Hits 5,000 Days of Safe Operation

As of Nov 5, 2025, the Xiangjiaba Hydropower Plant on the lower Jinsha River has achieved 5,000 consecutive days of safe operation, generating over 400 billion kWh of clean electricity. With an installed capacity of 6.4 GW, it serves as a key power source under China's west-to-east power transmission project, supplying reliable green power to the country's eastern regions.

The plant continues to enhance safety and efficiency through intelligent safety management systems, unmanned inspection, and integrated air–land–water emergency drills.
