Chasing the winds in China's "loneliest city"
Date: 2025-11-13
CTG's 75 massive wind turbines are now turning in China's "loneliest city", harnessing the winds of the Gobi to light up thousands of homes.
Recently, CTG's 500 MW wind power project in Mangya city, Qinghai province, was successfully connected to the grid and has started generating electricity. Surrounded by three vast uninhabited regions, the turbines transform plateau winds into a steady flow of clean energy.

Through precise wind calculations, braving extreme temperatures that can drop to –20°C, and meticulous quality control, the project now delivers about 1 billion kWh of green electricity annually, boosting Qinghai's nighttime power supply and powering China's green energy transition.
