Seven days saw 190,000 visitors! The Three Gorges Dam tourism area saw a 73.6 percent year-on-year surge during this year's Spring Festival holiday break from Feb 17 to 23. With festive spirit, the area celebrated the Year of the Horse with guochao (China-chic) flair. As a premier national 5A tourist attraction, it has drawn over 3.2 million visitors annually for three consecutive years. From shadow puppetry to hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) parades, a growing number of young families are flocking to see where the massive dam meets ancient traditions.
