World Engineering Day: CTG's answer to a sustainable future
Date: 2026-03-04
Today is World Engineering Day, and this year's theme is "Engineering Solutions for a Sustainable Future through Innovation and Digitalization". What exactly is a sustainable future? From eradicating poverty and ensuring clean water to climate action and terrestrial conservation, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define our shared vision: a world where no one is left behind. From blueprint to reality, CTG is leveraging engineering to answer this global call.
-The Three Gorges Project: Building resilient infrastructure to fortify flood defenses and generating massive clean energy for a sustainable future.
-The Hunshandake and Horqin sandy land restoration project: Restoring terrestrial ecosystems through scientific management, turning the degraded sandy lands into green patches.
-The multi-tower concentrated solar power (CSP) system: Pioneering "dual-tower, single-turbine" solar-thermal storage models to ensure the stable, reliable, and efficient consumption of clean energy.
-The 20MW offshore wind turbine: Maximizing wind efficiency and minimizing costs to accelerate climate action.
-The intelligent water resource monitoring system: Digitizing urban water management to safeguard clean water supply and reliable sanitation for all.
