Three Gorges 2026: More intelligent, more efficient, more secure

The Three Gorges Hub achieved a "flying start" for 2026. From Feb 15 to 23, the hub completed 288 safe operations, facilitating 861 vessel transits and 3.758 million tonnes of cargo — an 18 percent daily average increase year-on-year. Tourism also skyrocketed, with 421,000 visitors to the hub section, marking a daily average increase of 102.9 percents.

By integrating 5G, BeiDou, and digital twin technology with the Three Gorges Navigation Large Model, the hub enables real-time vessel monitoring across 573km of interconnected waters, ensuring that every transit is more intelligent, efficient, and secure.
