The Changyang pumped storage hydropower station in Hubei province is under intense construction. Functioning 500 meters underground, the intelligent multi-arm drilling rigs operate precisely, with any errors being smaller than 2 cm. Smart equipment and advanced geological forecasting are boosting safety and efficiency.

The upper reservoir's five dams utilize excavated stone for filling, reducing spoil transport and concrete use while minimizing vegetation disturbance. Meanwhile, the lower reservoir implements zero-emission management to safeguard the local aquatic environment.
