Unit 3 starts up at Zhejiang Tiantai Pumped Storage Power Station

Recently, Unit 3 of CTG's Zhejiang Tiantai Pumped Storage Power Station has successfully completed its first startup and reached rated speed in one go. With a total installed capacity of 1.7 million kW and four 425 MW reversible units, the station is China's largest pumped-storage plant by single-unit capacity.

After precise adjustment, Unit 3 has completed rigorous pre-grid connection tests with excellent core parameters. It is expected that all four units of the station will be fully operated in mid-2026.
