Dove tree conservation reaches a new milestone
Date: 2026-04-15
A springtime spectacle at the Three Gorges Dam! Rare dove tree flowers, often dubbed the "panda of the plant kingdom", recently graced the area with their beauty.
Naturally found above 1,500m, this fragile species faces extreme conservation challenges. Following a 2007 rescue mission and nearly 20 years of "step-by-step" acclimatization by researchers from CTG in charge of ecological protection, this large-scale bloom proves the species has not only survived at low altitudes but also achieved a historic leap from "introduction" to "reproduction".
