San Gaban III Hydropower Station marks first year of operation

On April 29, San Gabán III Hydropower Station celebrated its first anniversary of operation. Since commissioning, it has generated a total of 1.273 billion kWh of clean electricity.

Peru's energy mix currently relies heavily on hydropower (52%) and natural gas (40%). As Peru elevates renewable energy development to a national level and advances its 2030–2050 Net-Zero Emissions Energy Transition Roadmap, the stable operation of San Gabán III serves as a solid pillar for the country's energy security and green sustainable development.
