The world's largest clean energy corridor reserves about 35.8 billion cubic meters of flood-control storage
Date: 2026-06-23
By June 17, the world's largest clean energy corridor had completed its annual drawdown, reserving about 35.8 billion cubic meters of flood-control storage to prepare the Yangtze River basin for the main flood season.
As the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River enter the plum rain season, the corridor is helping safeguard the basin through coordinated reservoir operations. Earlier this month, it also completed maintenance on 110 generating units, providing support for safe and stable energy supply during the main flood season.
