The CTG-led project "key technologies for the Baihetan Hydropower Station mega hub project" won the first prize of the 2025 State Scientific and Technological Progress Award.

The Baihetan Hydropower Station mega hub project features a 300-meter-class concrete double-curvature arch dam, flood discharge and energy dissipation facilities, as well as underground powerhouses on both banks. The project successfully addressed three world-class core technical challenges: the world's most asymmetric ultra-high arch dam, the largest underground powerhouse cavern complex, and the most asymmetric flood discharge and energy dissipation system. It also achieved 12 world firsts in hydropower hub engineering, representing a landmark breakthrough in core technologies for hydropower infrastructure construction.
