How has a wind farm maintained safe operation for over 5,000 consecutive days?

The answer lies in meticulous maintenance and careful management. Facing challenges from long-serving turbines, aging equipment and discontinued spare parts, the team at Da'an Haituo Wind Farm in Jilin province has kept the aging turbines' availability rate stable at over 99.6 percent. They achieved this through repairing spare parts, technical innovation, and in-house testing, while tailoring maintenance plans to each turbine's model and service life. Regular skills training and emergency drills have also equipped the team with strong on-site emergency response capabilities.

Since entering operation, the wind farm has generated over 4.44 billion kWh of clean electricity, equivalent to reducing CO₂ emissions by more than 4.2 million tonnes and meeting the annual power needs of nearly 1.9 million households.
