Progress update at Ruoqiang New Energy Base

After the X-shaped columns of Unit 1 indirect cooling tower were closed in May, engineers have now completed the closure of the X-shaped columns of Unit 2 indirect cooling tower at the Ruoqiang New Energy Base coal power project in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

As a key pillar for southern Xinjiang's first 10-gigawatt (GW)-level energy base across desert and Gobi areas, the project will work alongside wind, solar and advanced energy storage to help provide stable electricity for transmission from Xinjiang to other parts of China.
